Franz Bendel [1833-74] was a Bohemian pianist and prolific composer, especially of salon music.

Hommage a Chopin, Op. 111, No. 1		MIDI	piano salon
	Subtitled Piece Caracteristique and marked Andante, this piece is Bendel's attempt to write a piece in the style of Chopin. Sequenced in 2021 from the PD IMSLP version, originally published by M. Bahn of Berlin. I discovered later that the Library of Congress scan of the same edition is much higher quality; parts of the IMSLP version are quite hard to read, so there may be some infelicities.
