Yes, I know it is described above as for duet! This is by far Benjamin's best-known piece, and it was so popular that the Jamaican government arranged for him to be given a barrel of rum each year! Copyright © 1938 by Boosey & Co. Ltd. The composer notes that "The 3-3-2 rhythm must be slightly stressed throughout and the nuances should be slight. Play the accompaniment non legato!" Both parts are marked pp al finale -- senza pedale e sempre una corda. |
