Henri Chalon is about as unknown as a composer can be! Google finds only an arrangement of some Strauss waltzes.

	ADESTE FIDELES [that is O come, all ye faithful], with an Introduction and Variations, for the PIANO FORTE, Composed by HENRI CHALON. Marked RESOLUTO E MODERATO ASSAI. Published by Cramer, Addison & Beale, of 201, Regent Street. The `theme and variations' was a favourite somewhat labour-saving device for Victorian salon composers. Pick a well-known tune [and few are better known than this one], and decorate it with some variations to a more-or-less standard pattern, and finish with a flourish. Just the thing, in this case, for a Christmas party piece.
