Gladiolus Rag MIDI   piano
Gladiolus Rag is a typical example of the genre, which I first heard in a recording by Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band, around 1960, long before the Joplin revival occasioned by the film The Sting.
Sequenced in 1995, re-visited in 2000, from the Paxton edition.
The instruction is Slow march tempo; Joplin also notes on the score: Do not play this piece fast. It is never right to play 'Ragtime' fast.
