Johann_Philipp Kirnberger [1721-1783] was a German music theorist and composer who played violin in the court of Frederick the Great.

	Der Wildfang is also known as La Lutine [The Mischievous Sprite], The Impudent Girl or, weirdly, The Romp. I originally sequenced this in 1995 as one of my first sequences, and for a while used it as an accompaniment on my home page. But it needed revisiting for various reasons, so I edited it in 2021 with reference to The German Harpsichordists, [Ricordi, ed. P. Montani], undated. I have added a modest amount of ornamentation in the repeats.
