International Music Score Library Project [IMSLP] entry: Charles Mayer

Charles Mayer (1799-1862) was born in Koenigsburg, but his family moved to St Petersburg and then Moscow, where he studied under Field and wrote ~900 works, mostly for piano, many for teaching purposes.

Grace, Etude Melodique, Op. 149 No. 5 MIDI   salon   piano   CD2
Marked Allegretto grazioso, and also described in some sources as an Idyll. Sequenced primarily from the version in Star Folio #2, but pedalling and note lengths taken from IMSLP edition. The lengthened melody notes are not in the original. The phrasing differs markedly between editions, but is absolutely undetectable thanks to the pedalling, so I've ignored it [sorry!].
