International Music Score Library Project [IMSLP] entry: Leopold Mozart

Leopold Mozart [1719-87] was the father and teacher of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his sister Maria Anna "Nannerl" Mozart. He was a well-known composer in his own right, but best known for his book on violin technique.

	Sleigh Ride is the second movement of a suite called Die musikalische Schlittenfahrt, composed in 1755. It is usually attributed to Leopold Mozart, but the attribution is disputed. There are several versions of the suite; this is the version published by Heinrichshofen's Verlag in 1961. Marked as allegretto, and scored for strings together with a (toy) trumpet, drum, sleigh bells, rattle, whip and triangle. Sequenced in 2021 from the IMSLP version. As usual, the limitations of Midi instruments mean that it sounds more like a school orchestra than professionals, but it's quite fun. If I ever get the urge, I'll sequence up the rest of the suite.
