Wiki entry: Alec Templeton
International Music Score Library Project [IMSLP] entry: Alec Templeton [though as of 2020 IMSLP does not seem to have any of his music].
Alec Templeton (1909-1963) was a blind Welsh composer. Most of his work seems to have been on American radio. [Restricted access until 2033.]

| This 1938 piece is described as a Prelude and Fugue in Swing. It dates from the era when harpsichords were unusual, but I first heard it on a record made by George Malcolm which contained several pieces of light or humorous music arranged by GM for harpsichord, and as a piece intended to evoke Bach, this is obviously the right instrument. I have done rather little to `swing' the music; compare Phillip Sear's YouTube performance on the piano. | |||
