International Music Score Library Project [IMSLP] entry: Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi [1678-1741] was an Italian composer best known for some 600+ concertos [though sometimes described as one concerto written 600 times!] covering, it seems, every possible combination of the instruments of his all-female orchestra at the Ospedale della Pieta, an orphanage in Venice.

1st movement -- Andante molto MIDI   classical   orchestral
     2nd movement -- Largo
     3rd movement -- Allegro molto
This concerto for Oboe, Bassoon, Strings and Basso Continuo is number 545 in the Ryom catalogue [Ryom-Verzeichnis] and number 129 in the Pincherle catalogue, so is known as RV 545 or P 129.
Sequenced primarily in 1999 from a miniature score in my collection. The edition is dated 1974 by Musica Rara, edited by David Lasocki, with the basso continuo `realised' by R. P. Block. As this is still in copyright and I haven't yet found a PD version to use, access is restricted. I have followed the score apart from some minor edits of apparently wrong notes. The Largo is slightly elaborated in the repeats.
As ever with an orchestral piece, the sound is very dependent on the quality of the instruments available on your [or, in this case, my!] keyboard, and tends to be reminiscent of a weak school orchestra, especially the violins. The miracle is getting an orchestra out of one keyboard!
If you are an oboist or a bassoonist, then the Midi version is ideal for editing into a `minus 1' version to practice/rehearse with.
