Our card this year is a simple woven card that folds and reopens in interesting ways to reveal the hidden inner sides of the cards.
The idea is similar to the Jacob's Ladder toy that uses wooden blocks and ribbon instead of card. In the toy, however, you are not really interested in what the ribbons are doing, just in seeing the blocks turn over to reveal their backs. Magic wallets use a similar mechanism for a different effect.
We used this idea in a different way on a previous card several years ago (in 2017 to be exact). That card had the fronts of some dolls on one side and their backs on the other with some thin strips of card at the top and bottom. Just found a copy -- see video:
We gave no instructions, though, and we were never quite sure that any of the recipients knew they could open it backwards to see the backs! That's why we've asked you to see if you can find the Santa on this one.
If your card has fallen apart and you want to put it back together or if you are interested in making
a card of your own based on this idea, see how to make
the card by clicking the

Enjoy!
